Summer 2017: Flower Piano Returns

Hello Everyone! I am preparing collaborations with several wonderful musicians (and the amazing painter Peggy Gyulai) for the 3rd annual Flower Piano Festival in Golden Gate Park, starting July 13. Below is a link to the schedule, and also a detailed list of the concerts I will be presenting.

Pianist Allison Lovejoy is a featured performer at 4 Flower Piano events at
SF Botanical Gardens in Golden Gate Park.. (see schedule below)

Don’t miss this incredibly magical event in the beautiful gardens with pianists in all areas of the arboretum. Concerts are both weekends of July 15/16 and July 22/23.
Pianos are available for guests to play at all other times!! bring picnics and sweaters, and enjoy pianists play classical, jazz, sambas, tangos, blues and more…..watch children dance, listen to poets with birds accompanying!

$8/ free admission FOR SF residents

Special guest soprano Helene Zindarsian performs works by Strauss and Faure

With members of the Classical Revolution, Santa Rosa Symphony and Marionettes!!

SATURDAY, July 22: 7:30-10:30 pm “NightGarden Piano”
This special ticketed event features 6 pianists performing concerts in the gardens at night. Heat lamps, beverages, and romantic piano music provided.

I will be performing works from my collections of “Nocturnes for Piano” by composers Chopin, Satie, Bizet as well as original works by myself and local composers.

SUNDAY, July 23: 12:00 – 1:00 pm
Allison Lovejoy with Emil Miland, cellist

Don’t miss this program of Impressionist and Romantic piano works
and guest cellist Emil Miland of the SF Opera Orchestra performing music by Lou Harrison, Candace Forest and Rachmaninov!!!!

SUNDAY, July 23: 4:00- 6:00 pm Casulo
I’ll be joining Paulo V. Sultanum and the wonderful Brazilian music ensemble on a few tunes, including one of my original compositions!
